Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 05-09-2026
1. Introduction / Agreement to Terms
Welcome to Raguram Karupia’s blog, “THE ANCIENT INDIAN SCRIPTURES!” (the “Blog”). The Blog provides subscription-based access to written content relating to Hindu scriptures the Valmiki Ramayana, Vyasa’s Mahabharata, the Principal Upanishads, and the Bhagavad Gita, together with the author’s interpretations, Comments, and related explanatory material (collectively, the “Services”).
The subscription model governing access to content is set out in detail in Section 2 below.
By accessing or using the Blog or any part of the Services (including both free and paid content), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”), as well as our Privacy Policy and any other policies referred to in these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use or access the Blog or the Services.
2. Free and Paid Content — Subscription Model
The Blog operates as a subscription-based content platform. It does not sell any physical products or standalone downloadable files, and it does not offer courses or events. Access is provided solely to online blog content (articles, scripture passages, and the author’s Comments) published on the website.
a) Free Access
The first fifteen (15) blog posts are freely accessible to all users worldwide. No registration, payment, or subscription is required to view these first fifteen posts.
b) Paid Subscription Access
From Blog Post No. 16 onwards, access to content requires an active paid monthly subscription. The current subscription fees are as follows:
- Readers located in India: INR 200 (Indian Rupees) per month;
- Readers located in the United States of America: USD 5 (US Dollars) per month;
- Readers located in all other countries: the equivalent of USD 5 (US Dollars) per month in their local currency, as determined by the payment gateway or relevant financial institution at the time of payment.
Subscription fees are collected via the Razorpay Payment Button embedded on the Blog, using Razorpay’s supported payment methods. A valid and active subscription entitles you only to access the online blog content that is made available for subscribers on the website; it does not entitle you to any separate or additional products or services.
3. Use of the Website
You agree to use the Blog and the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Blog complies with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations in India and in any other jurisdiction from which you access the Blog.
Where applicable, you may be required to create an account or provide certain information in order to access subscriber-only content. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials associated with your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any actual or suspected unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, to suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to all or any part of the Blog or the Services if we believe that you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or engaged in conduct that may harm us, other users, or any third party.
4. Intellectual Property
All content made available on or through the Blog, including but not limited to text, articles, commentary, interpretations, images, graphics, logos, icons, and the arrangement thereof (collectively, the “Content”), is the intellectual property of Raguram Karupia and/or THE ANCIENT INDIAN SCRIPTURES! or its respective content providers and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of the applicable subscription fees (where relevant), you are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to access and read the Content online for your own private, non-commercial educational and spiritual purposes. Except with our prior written consent, you shall not reproduce, copy, adapt, translate, modify, create derivative works of, publish, distribute, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, or otherwise exploit the Content, in whole or in part, for any commercial or non-personal purpose.
You shall not remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notices, author attributions, or other proprietary rights notices appearing on or in connection with the Content.
The Blog may make use of and refer to public domain or freely available English translations of Hindu scriptures, including, among others, the translations of the Valmiki Ramayana by Manmathanath Dutt, of the Mahabharata by Kisari Mohan Ganguli (K.M. Ganguli), and of certain Upanishads by Swami Nikhilananda. Any such material is used in an adapted, summarized, or excerpted form, with appropriate acknowledgement, and is combined with the author’s own commentary and explanatory notes. The Blog does not reproduce these works in their entirety, and any errors or interpretative choices in the Content are solely those of the author.
All trademarks, service marks, logos, and trade names displayed on the Blog are the property of their respective owners. Nothing in these Terms or on the Blog shall be construed as granting any license or right to use any such marks without the express prior written permission of the relevant owner.
5. Payment Terms
The current monthly subscription fees are as set out in Section 2 (Free and Paid Content — Subscription Model) above. Subscription fees are charged on a monthly basis and grant you time-limited access to subscriber-only blog posts/articles (i.e., content from Blog Post No. 16 onwards, once published) during the applicable billing period.
All subscription payments are processed securely through the Razorpay Payment Button/Gateway embedded on the Blog. By initiating and completing a payment, you acknowledge and agree that your payment will be processed by Razorpay and that you are bound by Razorpay’s applicable terms and conditions and privacy policy, in addition to these Terms. Accepted payment methods (as supported by Razorpay from time to time) may include UPI, credit cards, debit cards, net banking, and supported digital wallets.
By initiating a subscription, you represent and warrant that you are legally authorised to use the selected payment method and that all information you provide is true, accurate, and complete. By providing your payment details and clicking the relevant payment or confirmation button, you authorise Razorpay to charge the applicable monthly subscription fee, together with any applicable taxes or charges, to your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel your subscription in accordance with these Terms.
Access to subscriber-only content will be granted only upon successful receipt and confirmation of payment for the applicable billing month by Razorpay and our systems. In the event of any payment failure, decline, chargeback, reversal, or other unsuccessful transaction, access to subscriber-only content will not be granted or may be suspended, and will only be restored once the outstanding payment has been successfully completed and confirmed.
Subscription payments provide you solely with online access to premium blog content (subscriber-only posts/articles) published on the Blog. No physical products, digital products, e-books, downloadable materials, courses, workshops, live sessions, events, or any other goods or services are sold or delivered through this Blog, and no rights in any such items are created by payment of the subscription fee.
6. Refund and Cancellation
A separate Refund and Cancellation Policy is published on the Blog and forms an integral part of these Terms. You are requested to review that policy carefully before initiating, renewing, or cancelling a subscription, as it contains additional details and procedures that apply to refunds and cancellations.
The subscription operates on a monthly billing cycle. Once payment for a given billing month has been successfully processed and access to subscriber-only content for that month has been granted, the subscription fee for that billing month is non-refundable, whether or not you actually access or use the subscriber-only content during that period, except in the limited circumstances set out below and in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Subject to applicable law and the Refund and Cancellation Policy, refunds may be considered only where: (i) you have been charged more than once for the same billing period (duplicate charges); (ii) a confirmed technical error attributable to us or our payment processor has prevented you from accessing subscriber-only content for the relevant billing period, despite reasonable troubleshooting; or (iii) there is a verified unauthorised or fraudulent transaction on your account. Any such exceptions will be evaluated strictly in accordance with the Refund and Cancellation Policy and applicable law, and may require you to provide supporting documentation or evidence.
You may cancel your subscription at any time by sending a written request to kraguram0058@gmail.com or by following any cancellation procedures that may be specified on the Blog from time to time. Unless otherwise required by applicable law, cancellation will ordinarily take effect from the next billing cycle, and you will retain access to subscriber-only content until the end of the current paid billing month. Fees already paid for the current billing period are non-refundable, and no pro-rated or partial refunds will be provided for any unused portion of that period. For complete and up-to-date information, you should refer to the full Refund and Cancellation Policy published on the Blog.
